Robert W. Norris, expatriate author

I am a Vietnam War conscientious objector, Japanese university teacher,
and author of expatriate novels and articles on teaching English as a
foreign language. My site includes my curriculum vitae, information on
my books, online articles, and a links page.

All of my teaching articles can be found in the CV section. Book cover
images, story summaries, blurbs, and chapter excerpts are in the books
section. My two novels are "Looking for the Summer," the story of a
conscientious objector's adventures and search for identity on the road
from Paris to Calcutta in 1977, and "Toraware," a psychological study of
the obsessive relationship of three misfits from different cultures in
1980s Kobe, Japan. Both books are available through Amazon.com.

My online articles are about getting published in Japan and using the
Internet to promote one's books. There is also a newspaper interview (in
